Squelsh! Eat or be Eaten is Now Free on Itch.io

I'm excited to share that my print and play game, Squelsh! Eat or be Eaten, is now available for free download on Itch.io! After much consideration, I decided to make the game freely accessible to all players, while still offering the option to donate if they wish.

Squelsh! Eat or be Eaten is a delightfully squishy game where players control colonies of hungry, ambitious slimes, all vying to become the ultimate Royal Slime. In this world, it's survival of the squishiest—so if you're not eating, you're probably being eaten! Each round, players deploy their slimes, hoping to snack on weaker slimes while avoiding becoming someone else's lunch. But slimes also need their favorite foods to survive, and missing a meal can lead to your poor blob wandering into the wilds, up for grabs by anyone.

As the slimes consume and grow, players must balance strategy, timing, and a bit of ruthless gobbling to stay on top. Then comes the Royal Rumble, the final showdown where each player's biggest and most well-fed slime battles for dominance. The strongest surviving slime wins, claiming the title of Ultimate Slime Monarch!

I was initially hesitant to release the game on Itch.io, as I wanted to keep everything on my own website. However, after much thought, I realized that making Squelsh! Eat or be Eaten freely available would be the best way to share my creation with the world. Now, anyone can download and enjoy the game, with the option to support my work through a voluntary donation.
