Adapting to Market Changes: An Update from Out of Play
As the owner of Out of Play, an online shop specializing in board and card game accessories, I wanted to take a moment to provide an update on the current state of our business. The past few weeks have been challenging, but we remain committed to serving our loyal customers and adapting to the changing landscape.
First and foremost, I want to acknowledge the recent difficulties I've faced. I've been quite ill over the past few days, which has unfortunately impacted my ability to keep up with the day-to-day operations of the shop. Please accept my sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.
In light of the ongoing tariff situation, we've had to make some adjustments to our shipping and pricing policies. Effective immediately, the free shipping threshold for orders within the USA has been raised to $50, and for international orders, it's now $100. This change is necessary to help offset the increased costs we're facing. Additionally, I'll be reevaluating our pricing over the coming days to ensure we can continue to provide high-quality products and services while remaining competitive.
Despite these challenges, we're exploring new ways to expand our offerings and better serve our customers. I'm excited to announce that Out of Play has partnered with BaronOfDice, another reputable online retailer, to sell their products. This collaboration will allow us to offer an even wider selection of game accessories and enhance the overall shopping experience for our customers.
I'm also actively seeking out additional partnerships with other like-minded businesses in the tabletop gaming industry. By working together, we can navigate these uncertain times and continue to provide the products and support our community needs.
It's no secret that small businesses are facing significant challenges in the current market. The future is uncertain, and I can't predict what the coming months will hold. However, I can assure you that Out of Play is committed to staying open and adapting to the changes as they arise. We value your continued support and understanding during this time.
Once again, I apologize for any inconvenience caused by the recent changes and difficulties. I'm grateful for your patience and loyalty, and I look forward to continuing to serve the tabletop gaming community for years to come.
